Your Voucher entitles you to take a balloon flight with us over the Yorkshire Dales. It has an expiry date; please make sure you have flown before your Voucher expires.
Your flight will last for around an hour although you will be with us for about three hours. This additional time includes your check in; pre-flight briefing; assisting us with the inflation of the balloon; packing the balloon away; time to sip your complimentary bubbly and purchase souvenirs. Return transport to the launch site is offered if required.
Balloon flights take place mainly during the months from April to October (British Summer Time) the weather and the condition of the fields generally prevents us from flying at other times of the year. We recommend that you take your flight as early in the season as you can, to allow for postponements caused by the weather.

Generally the only thing that prevents us from flying is the weather. Our weather page will help you to see the conditions that are suitable for passenger balloon flights. Days with light winds of less than 8 mph, dry conditions and good visibility are perfect for ballooning.
Experience has shown that although you may consider morning flights anti-social; these are the most successful flights and are truly appreciated by those who take them. You would get up early to depart for your holiday flight, why not for your balloon flight? Throughout most of the summer we meet at 6:30 at the launchsite.
Although the most convenient for the majority of people, they are sometimes subject to weather problems particularly on the hotter days when the high temperatures can cause localised wind problems, thunder storms etc. If this is the case then your flight may be called off on site.
