We have purchased an MT-03, a german manufactured factory built autogyro, one of the new generation of aircraft which are now fully certified in the UK. An autogyro looks a bit like a small helicopter, but there the similarities end. The rotors are driven by air passing through them, making it impossible to stall. A rotax engine drives the aircraft forwards through the air, enabling it to reach speeds of up to 100 mph. It is small, manoueverable, exhilarating to fly - and safe!

Our M.D David McCutcheon is learning to fly the MT-03 which he has recently taken down to the Barcelona area to make the most of the settled weather, while the UK freezes under the current snowy conditions. It will be coming back to the UK during March, when the weather improves a bit!

If you are interested in taking a flight in an Autogyro, then let us know. All flying in the aircraft is a form of tuition, so you will experience time on the controls (if you want to) as well as a brief introduction to the principles of Gyro flight.
