Activities Serra del Montsec

Airborne Adventures Trek Montsec 001

Trekking

The montsec region is known for it’s three mountain ranges, but remains the undiscovered jewel of Catalonia. The best of the walking is not necessarily up and down the mountains, but through the gorges beside the lakes. This makes the walks suitable for all active abilities.

Quad Biking

In common with the Pyrenees this area has a network of virtually traffic free tracks through magnificent terrain, making it a great way to explore the lakes and mountains. Excursions are for an hour and a half. Remember it’s an excursion, not a race…

Activities Central Catalonia

Montserrat

Montserrat

For many visitors a trip to Montserrat is the highlight of their visit. Not only is Montserrat Monastery of significant religious importance but the natural beauty surrounding the monastery is simply breathtaking. If you enjoy walking there are also some interesting walks through the mountains where you will experience magnificent views of some of the most unusual rock formations in the whole of Catalonia. We often take a funicular to the top of the mountain and from there we can choose a number of different walks, all with amazing views of the Catalonian countryside.

Wine tasting in Catalonia

Wine tasting

A great favorurite with all our groups. Here we will have lunch and spend some time sampling some excellent wines and tour the facilities at the vineyard, before purchasing some favourites from the shop. The whole experience takes about two hours, but can go on a little longer…

Karting in Catalonia

Karting

Without a doubt one of the finest indoor Karting venues in Europe. We visit frequently, it is a great favourite with our clients. The race takes a grand prix format, with a warm up session, a qualifying session and then the race of ten minutes. A podium finish with Champagne follows. Suitable for adults in good health only!

Activities Costa Brava

Sailing on the Costa Brava

Sailing

Our skippered sailing trips take us up the coast from L’Estartit to a small bay where we stop for a swim before returning to port. The whole trip takes about three hours. The boat we use is a 40 foot Beneteau, belonging to Quim, who in addition to circumnavigating the world, is an experienced sailor in these waters.

Watersports on the Costa Brava

Watersports

The lovely open bay at L’Escala provides a safe environment for watersports beginners and the the more experienced alike. Our facilities include, Jet skiing, kayaking, dingy and catamaran sailing, windsurfing and a banana boat. Great fun to be had by all. Or just lie in the sun and relax!

Pitch and Putt on the Costa Brava

Pitch and Putt

Defined as a PAR 3 of short distances, the 18 hole Golf p&p Gualta course is a golfers’ delight, with bunkers, lakes and large greens it provides a challenge for golfers of all levels and abilities. The advantage for beginners is the fact that they are allowed to play the course after having taken only a few lessons, as golf handicaps are not obligatory. The more experienced golfers can enjoy playing the beautiful holes while practising their often neglected short game.

Segways

Segways

Segways are “the world’s first self-balancing human transporter.” To move forward or backward the rider just leans slightly forward or backward. To turn left or right, the rider simply moves the column left or right. It all feels natural, safe, and instinctive.
Our rides generally last one hour. Available in the Pyrenees and on the Costa Brava.

Activities Pyrenees

Snowmobiles in the Pyrnenees

Snowmobiles

Our snowmobile excursions are in Andorra. Trips are through the woods with two guides, not because we might get lost, but to keep us under control. Snowmobiles are great fun, somewhere between a quad bike and a jet ski! They have been a hit with everyone who has tried them. The Venue is a one hour drive from the hotel.

Quad biking in the Pyrnenees

Quad biking

Quad bikes are a perennial favourite with our groups. The Pyrenees quad biking trips have been voted the best yet. Excursions are safe, but fun, with hills, woods and stream crossings to make life more interesting. Generally one and a half hours, but longer day, or half day excursions into the mountains are possible. A two day trip to the Costa Brava from the Pyrenees is also possible. The minimum group size is four people, the largest group size is eight people.

Airborne Adventures High ropes and zip wires 001

Adventure Park

High ropes and zip wires, great fun for all abilities. Including the longest zip wire in Catalonia! After a briefing and safety harness fitting head back to your primeval roots for an excursion through the tree tops, followed by a zip wire back to earth.
Similar to Go Ape! Go for it!

Airborne Adventures 002

Dog Sledding

Situated an hour away from the hotel in Andorra, Mushing is great fun, but requires a degree of fitness. Once you are ready, we will ask you to go to the starting point, also known as “steak-out” area, to meet the sled musher. He will explain you the activity in detail and will give you a theoretical lesson on how the mushing sled works and on how to give orders to the dogs. Finally, he will introduce you to his team of dogs. Our professional sled musher will supervise your ride at all times. You will experience a thrilling adventure of riding and commanding a mushing sled through an impressive snowy valley. Afterwards you will be able to pet the grateful dogs and reward them with husky treats!

Quad biking in the Pyrnenees

Snow shoe trekking

This was a new event for us in 2009, it was a great success and we are happy to offer it to all groups as it is great fun. Available in several locations, the start point is chosen by the guide as the location is sometimes weather dependent.
