Ballooning on the Costa Brava is a lovely experience. The area is scattered with ancient monuments and villages. The light is beautiful returning some great photographs, especially with the backdrop of the early morning coastline. Flights are for an hour, followed by breakfast in one of the many restaurants in the area. Flights are early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day and the turbulence that comes with it.
Our skippered sailing trips take us down the coast from L’Escala to a small bay where we stop for a swim before returning to port. The whole trip takes about two hours. The boat we use is a 30+ foot Juneau, belonging to our good friend Setu, who is an experienced sailor, particularly in these waters.
The lovely open bay at L’Escala provides a safe environment for watersports beginners and the the more experienced alike.
Our facilities include, Water skiing, kayaking, dingy sailing, windsurfing and a banana boat! Great fun to be had by all. Or just lie in the sun and relax!
New for 2008. Segways are "the world's first self-balancing human transporter." To move forward or backward on the Segway PT, the rider just leans slightly forward or backward. To turn left or right, the rider simply moves the LeanSteer frame left or right. You get the sense of power and speed, yet you also feel a sense of safety and absolute control. It all feels natural, safe, and instinctive.
Although they're ideal for short jaunts, Segway PTs can travel as far as 24 miles/38 km on a single battery charge, depending on terrain, payload, and riding style.
Defined as a PAR 3 of short distances, the 18 hole Golf p&p Gualta course is a golfers’ delight, with bunkers, lakes and large greens it provides a challenge for golfers of all levels and abilities. The advantage for beginners is the fact that they are allowed to play the course after having taken only a few lessons, as golf handicaps are not obligatory. The more experienced golfers can enjoy playing the beautiful holes while practising their often neglected short game.
The optimum size for a group is 8, or multiples there of. This is dictated by the size of the minibus and the balloon (occasionally the hotel). We are happy to consider groups of other sizes and will happily provide a quotation on request.
Here is a sample itinerary based on a group of eight arriving together on Monday, departing together on Thursday. The times of the activities will vary based on the time of year of the trip. The nearest airport is Girona – which is serviced from the UK by Ryanair. Barcelona is 1 ½ hours away.

Catalonia is a small country measuring nearly 32,000 square kilometres (12,000 sq. miles.) in the Northeast corner of Spain. With over 500 kilometres of Mediterranean coastline, stretching from the French border to the Ebro River Delta, Catalonia boasts an extraordinary variety of landscapes packed into a relatively small area (three quarters the size of Switzerland).
To the north, the jagged peaks and alpine meadows of the Pyrenees offer year-round sport facilities for skiers and hikers alike. From the snow-peaked Pyrenees one descends through lush valleys of pine and fir trees, skirting crystal clear lakes and mountain ranges of unbelievably capricious shapes, such as the extinct volcanic parklands around Olot, and further south, the stone spires of legendary Montserrat - a mountain range so unique it has been declared a conservation area by UNESCO.
Between Tarragona and Barcelona are numerous coastal resorts, like lively Sitges, backed by one of Europe's most important wine producing regions, the Penedès, origin of 95 percent of the world's cava production. North of Barcelona, an almost uninterrupted stretch of coastline with numerous marinas leads to Blanes, where the Costa Brava begins.
The Costa Brava is rightfully famous for its breathtakingly beautiful coastline, where wide beaches of golden sand and crystal clear waters alternate with rocky promontories and little coves backed by sheer cliffs topped with pine and oak forests.
The interior of the Costa Brava is every bit as stunning as the coast (and far less affected by tourism), with pristine medieval villages set in lush, typically Mediterranean landscapes.
