The Cerdanya valley is located just through the Cadi tunnel, approximately two hours drive from Barcelona airport. The drive is worth the effort as the Cerdanya valley is surrounded by the snow capped Pyrenees mountains. In addition to the great views, the mountains also protect the valley from wind, giving us the ideal flying environment.
Our balloon flights take off from within ten minutes of the hotel. We are already three thousand feet above sea level, so why not a couple more, just for good measure? It can be quite cold during the winter and spring when we favour this venue. So wrap up well, as morning flights have been as cold as minus 8 degrees C.
Our snowmobile excursions are in Andorra. Trips are through the woods with two guides, not because we might get lost, but to keep us under control. Snowmobiles are great fun, somewhere between a quad bike and a jet ski! They have been a hit with everyone who has tried them. Venue is approx. one hour drive from the hotel.
Quad bikes are a perennial favourite with our groups. We quad bike in other areas, but the Pyrenees quad biking trips have been voted the best yet. Excursions are safe, but fun with hills, woods and stream crossings to make life more interesting. With larger groups we split the group in two, with a maximum of eight biking at a time.
This was a new event for us in 2009. We hadn’t offered it before as it doesn't particularly suit those who are unfit or those without suitable footwear and clothing. However it was a success and we are happy to offer it to all groups in the future as it was great fun and rather unusual.
We don't take our wine tasting too seriously, but it is very pleasant to visit a winery and taste their produce with friends. It is also a great way to introduce group member to one another in a relaxing and friendly environment and then shop together for your favourites afterwards!

The optimum size for a group is 8, or multiples there of. This is dictated by the size of the minibus and the balloon (occasionally the hotel). We are happy to consider groups of other sizes and will happily provide a quotation on request.
Catalonia is a small country measuring nearly 32,000 square kilometres (12,000 sq. miles.) in the Northeast corner of Spain. With over 500 kilometres of Mediterranean coastline, stretching from the French border to the Ebro River Delta, Catalonia boasts an extraordinary variety of landscapes packed into a relatively small area (three quarters the size of Switzerland).
To the north, the jagged peaks and alpine meadows of the Pyrenees offer year-round sport facilities for skiers and hikers alike. From the snow-peaked Pyrenees one descends through lush valleys of pine and fir trees, skirting crystal clear lakes and mountain ranges of unbelievably capricious shapes, such as the extinct volcanic parklands around Olot, and further south, the stone spires of legendary Montserrat - a mountain range so unique it has been declared a conservation area by UNESCO.
Between Tarragona and Barcelona are numerous coastal resorts, like lively Sitges, backed by one of Europe's most important wine producing regions, the Penedès, origin of 95 percent of the world's cava production. North of Barcelona, an almost uninterrupted stretch of coastline with numerous marinas leads to Blanes, where the Costa Brava begins.
The Costa Brava is rightfully famous for its breathtakingly beautiful coastline, where wide beaches of golden sand and crystal clear waters alternate with rocky promontories and little coves backed by sheer cliffs topped with pine and oak forests.
The interior of the Costa Brava is every bit as stunning as the coast (and far less affected by tourism), with pristine medieval villages set in lush, typically Mediterranean landscapes.
